Postdoctoral Researcher

Since February 2021, Dr. Guilhem Madiot has joined LEIT project. Dr. Madiot obtained his Ph.D. in Physics at Paris-Saclay University under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Rémy Braive, with doctoral works carried out at the Center of Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies (C2N-CNRS Palaiseau, France). He focused on the design, nanofabrication and experimental characterization of electromechanical and optomechanical structures. Based on the use of photonic crystal nano-membranes, he studied the role of intrinsic mechanical and optical nonlinearities in the emergence of nonlinear dynamical regimes such as chaos, synchronization and Floquet dynamics.
His Thesis resulted in the works listed below.

  • Guilhem Madiot, Franck Correia, Sylvain Barbay and Rémy Braive. "Bichromatic synchronized chaos in coupled optomechanical nanoresonators", arXiv:2005.08896.

  • Karin Pelka, Guilhem Madiot, Rémy Braive and André Xuereb. "Floquet control of optomechanical bistability in multimode systems", in preparation.

  • Guilhem Madiot, Sylvain Barbay and Rémy Braive. "Vibrational resonance amplification in a thermo-optic optomechanical cavity", in preparation.

  • Franck Correia, Guilhem Madiot, Gladys Jara-Schulz and Rémy Braive. "Coherent phase control within strongly coupled electro-mechanical nanoresonators", in preparation.

Postdoctoral Researcher

Since March 2021, Dr. Martin Poblet has joined LEIT project. Martin did his Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Andrea Bragas at the Quantum Electronics Laboratory (LEC), University of Buenos Aires (UBA), Argentina. During his Ph.D., Martin explored some of the effects produced by photoinduced forces in systems composed of plasmonic and dielectric nanoantennas. The work during his Ph.D. can be divided into two main areas: on the one hand, the generation and propagation of surface acoustic waves generated optically and, on the other, the detection of electric and magnetic fields at the nanoscale and at optical frequencies.

His Thesis resulted in the works listed below.

  • Martin Poblet, Rodrigo Berte, Hilario D. Boggiano, Yi Li, Emiliano Cortés, Gustavo Grinblat, Stefan A. Maier and Andrea V. Bragas. “Acoustic Coupling between Plasmonic Nanoantennas: Detection and Directionality of Surface Acoustic Waves”, ACS Photonics (Submitted).
